Mouths Cindy Zheng "Mouths" is part of a collection of poems titled “Womanly,” written to address and bring to light the issues women face in today’s society, from the gender gap in STEM fields to catcalling to the idea of being a “feminist.” This particular poem, "Mouths," was inspired by a girl the author met at a mutual friend’s birthday party. While they were crossing a street, she was catcalled, and though she told the author she was used to it, she was evidently upset.
